The Rover's is an interesting pub to say the least. The bar features handpumps fashioned from the ends of fire hoses, a real fire burns beneath the dartboard and one room is preserved as a shrine to Blackburn Rovers FC. Then there is the truly eclectic and enthusiastic mix of clientele. Ample size portions of food are served at lunchtimes. The Rover's would be a famous landmark if it was not tucked away behind the Town Hall. The pub is multi-roomed, one room being a shrine to Blackburn Rovers, with artifacts such as old match tickets, match day programmes and photographs of historic moments in Rovers history. There is a separate pool room down a corridor to the rear of the building, and a large overspill area with TV screen for the sport, down some steps away from the bar. The pub walls are adorned with a variety of interesting memorabelia, There are photos of past pubs on the island, photographs of fire engines- with a station having beer nearby, and an unusual 'Arctic cod' features! There is also a poster featuring Clinch's beers from historic times on the island,as the brewery was taken over in 1948.
As has become a recent trend in the Isle of Man, several local breweries including Bushy's are now supplying keg beers. The Rovers has two Bushy's lagers, a 'Goth beer' and an Oyster Stout, all on keg, situated to the right on the bar.
