Attractive, remarkably spacious open plan drinking area with an L-shaped bar. Furnished with robust but comfortable chairs and tables and with large south-facing picture windows which can be opened for both fresh air and cooling when necessary. Popular for both Ale and spirits as well as Coffee, there is also a good selection of locally made, tempting cakes. etc available for enjoying with your beverage of choice. Usefully, baby changing facilities are available for those who visit with their children.
'The Roundabout' also raises money for Scotty's Little Soldiers, a charity which supports bereaved British Forces children & young people through their Assistance Programmes: Smiles, Support and Strides.
There are teams for the Tuesday and Wednesday local dart leagues as well as occasional visits to sporting events.
A few steps from the front door is "The Yard" - an overspill drinking area, which can also be hired out for private functions if required.

The building dates from early 1970s.Opened as a Micropub 19 Sep 2014 in a former retail outlet.Closed in January 2024 when still Old Tranporter Ale House. Reopened as Roundabout Coffee Shop & Bar 16/11/2024
