This Pub is Closed Long Term

The Rose in Hand is located in Morse Lane, an unclassified road to the west of Drybrook. It was once a tied house of Lloyd & Yorath Cambrian Brewery in Newport, Monmouthshire - a rare outlet for their beers in the Forest of Dean. In more recent years the Rose in Hand was a free house, but it was not known for selling real ale. The pub was quietly ticking over, opening sporadically, offering just bottled beers but it never reopened after the enforced coronavirus lockdown and it is thought that the pub is now in residential use.
