Historic Interest

In 1982 this was a Whitbread Keg pub. By 1988 it had been refurbished and renamed Scarlets and was selling Chesters Bitter, and for a short period Hartleys XB, later it closed and in May 1999 attempts were made to relicence the pub which was to be called Club RAC which was delicensed on 30/03/2010. Another application to relicence the pub was successfully made in 2015, but nothing came of it.
