We’re Pete and Jess and we’re proud to be the new custodians of The Rockford Inn.
Taking on this much-loved inn has been a real labour of love, and our aim is simple: to bring it back as a warm, welcoming place for locals, walkers, and visitors alike.
Set alongside the beautiful East Lyn River on the edge of Exmoor, the Rockford Inn is a place made for slowing down. Think roaring fireplaces after a riverside walk, cosy corners to settle into, and comfortable letting rooms for those who want to stay and explore a little longer.
Great beer sits at the heart of what we do. Alongside our close link with Black Bear Brewery, we’re especially proud to be serving our very own Rockford Ale, brewed for us and best enjoyed by the fire. Whether you’re stopping by for a pint, meeting friends, or making a night of it, we hope the Rockford Inn feels like your pub again.
A welcoming traditional low beamed pub, with parts of the building more than 400 years old. Situated beside the East Lyn River in the heart of Exmoor National Park, it has seven rooms of accommodation, all of which are en-suite. Real ales from local breweries are served from casks behind the bar, and very good home-cooked food is served. Permits are available for fishing and the Samaritans Way for walkers runs along the length of the valley by the river.
Well behaved dogs allowed in the bar area.
Food menu coming soon - keep an eye on socials for special food evenings.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
