This Pub is Closed Long Term
This old pub has several small steps in it which make it difficult for disabled access and being a listed building makes it difficult to alter this. It is mainly designed now for dining but there is a small bar area with comfortable seats and a cosy real fire. The service is very friendly - often by the landlord or his partner.
Although there are four hand pumps, none are in use at present, as there is only breakfast, lunch and brunch, with no evening pub service of any kind. Pub has reopened after lengthy closure and opening hours may be increased as trade improves.
Early opening offers breakfasts and they also offer for sale a range of own-brand foodstufs, mugs, knick-knacks, etc as well as interesting cakes and desserts to go with coffee or meals or just on their own.
Historic Interest
Built early 19th century to profit from the building and use of the Grand Junction canal.
