Hotel & Restaurant.
Sitting in a commanding position overlooking the Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer, The Richmond Hotel is an ideal base for exploring the North West Highlands and Islands of Scotland. The charming Victorian house was built in 1885 and the hotel retains many original architectural features. Strathpeffer normally caters for the bus tours of Scotland, the Highland part! Not here though. Very much its own place! Open every day for guests, but limited opening to the general public. If you do not stay, try out the L’assiette de Maurice which is believed to be Scotland’s only Mauritian restaurant. In case you were wondering, Mauritius is an island in the Indian Ocean. The Richmond Hotel stocks up to 25 "speciality" bottled beers which include real ales and normally the Mauritian beer, Phoenix.
