A large stone-fronted roadside inn, located in the heart of the village, that has undergone something of a community-led revival since March 2017. A local business man garnered the support of others to take on a lease from the pubco with the aim of reversing its decline. Re-opening the kitchen and providing pub food won local support. It comprises two large rooms either side of a central servery and with separate entrance doors to each. To the left is a stone-flagged traditional public bar with TV screens whilst a more food-led area is located to the right. The servery has two hand-pulls for each room, with a common regular cask ale and a guest beer to each. When visited in May 2026, the guest was a 'brewery conditioned' beer and the hand-pull in one of the bars wasn't badged as such. This is a misleading form of dispense as it is really a keg beer. The beer garden at the front of the pub is popular in good weather and includes large screen TVs for outdoor viewing. There is an extensive pub food menu with daily food offers. Roast dinners are available on Sundays. A quiz night is held on Thursdays.
