Traditional village pub located 150 yards north off the main road through the village. Has a locals' public bar as well as a separate piano bar and diner. The food menu provides for freshly-prepared pub grub, with mainly locally-sourced ingredients.
The pub hosts many regular events, such as live music, open mic nights and quiz nights; the pub is open 6pm-11pm on the last Monday of each month for the open mic events. The large garden features a Bedouin-style festival tent as well as The Lionsden kitchen - ideal for parties and events. The live music every Thursday is preceded by a variety of street food vans in the car park.
Major sporting events are shown on TVs inside and in the garden.
Traditional pub games include darts, backgammon, chess, dominoes, cribbage, Connect Four, mah-jong in the winter. In summer there is archery, giant Jenga, Connect Four or Cornhole (fabric bean bags thrown at a raised, angled board with a hole in its far end) in the garden.
