This Pub is Permanently Closed
Seafront bar, timber-built in 1930, formerly part of the Frontierland amusement park. Having its own entrance on the public road (facing the promenade), it has been spared while most of the site has been flattened. Its name and facade still feature the Wild West theme adopted in 1986, but it is not noticeably themed inside. A stage, TVs all over, but against all expectation, three feet of the very long bar has four handpumps. One end has direct access to a slot-machine arcade, the other has pub games. The bar has an ill-defined family area: a big screen shows football when available. Light snacks always available. Quiz Mon, DJ or live music Fri, Sat. Owned by Morrisons at the moment.
