This Pub is Permanently Closed

As its name suggests, this Friary Meux pub was next to Reigate Station. Popular with pool players, it was demolished in the late 1980s and an office block was put on the site. This is the pub where Paul Heaton met Norman Cook, both later members of the band the Housemartins.
