The pub now offers two cask beers cask ales, craft beers. No food at present. The pub is now a large L Shaped, one room operation, with the bar to the right, 2 fireplaces in a comfortable lounge area to the left. To the rear are seating booths, the kitchen and externally the beer garden. On the walls are reproduction signs, pictures and memorabilia of the towns old silk industry. Close to Bus Station. The pub doesn't have it's own car park but the main Duke Street public car park is right behind which is free after 6pm and on Sundays. Porters - The Prince of Wales had previously been under threat of demolition as part of the town centre renovation plan. The catchphrase of this imitative was something like 'Putting the heart back in Macclesfield' but it was soon pointed out that knocking down the pub was completely inappropriate, as this place already existed as part of the towns heart. A successful campaign was put into action has saved The Prince of Wales with the town plan changing so that Porters can remain, and form part of the new town centre renovation.already is part of the existing heart.
This Pub serves no changing beers (three guest beers) and 2 regular beers.
