This Pub is Permanently Closed
This small town-centre pub served Dartford for exactly 100 years before closing its doors for the last time in 1981. The archive photograph suggests that at one time it was probably part of the tied estate of Dartford brewers Kidd & Sons, but this has yet to be confirmed. It ended its days as a tied Courage pub, of which there was no shortage in the town at the time.
The building still stands and is currently (2020) in use as a charity shop.
Should anyone have a more recent photograph of the pub when it was still a going concern we would be very pleased to hear from you - please use the feedback form.
