This Pub is Permanently Closed
Once situated in the modern Daily Express Building; a comfortable, plush busy one bar establishment popular with the Press. The pub name is associated with the emblem of the Abbots of Cirenceste and an annual archery competition in early times, in which the target was a stuffed bird and the winner dubbed 'Captain Poppinay'. Food am/Darts. Demolished and is now a Boots.
