Lovely thatched village pub with flower baskets & an attractive beer garden. The single room has polished boards and tiled floors, exposed beams, painted walls and attractively chunky furniture. The area to the left of the front entrance is the more pubby, the other portion having tables mainly devoted to dining. In spring 2016 the Poacher's tenancy was taken on by the former licensees of the Kings Head, Hadstock, a GBG regular in adjoining NW Essex branch. The pub is proud of its home-cooked food including the desserts and holds food themed evenings. It also makes good use of the Punch finest cask scheme.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
