Unspoilt (said author) 18th Century inn overlooking the Lower Calder Valley, with a low beamed ceiling and a huge open fireplace. It has been extensively, yet sympathetically rebuilt by the owner. Good quality bar meals and snacks were served. A rotating guest beer was stocked (2001). A paved seating area at the front of the pub has an adjacent children's adventure play area. This pub retained a licence but was mothballed for a good while pending sale, which has now happened. Re-opened late Oct 2013 with 5 cask ales, and food to follow, possibly early 2014.
Hours shown are those usually operated but it may close earlier subject to demand owing to pub's rural location.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 0 regular beers.
