This Pub is Permanently Closed
Once an Ansells pub, this 2006 addition to the Burton Bridge estate is located in the suburb of Stapenhill, on the other side of the River Trent from the town centre. The building dates back to the mid-19th-century but does not appear to have become a pub until around 1870.
The single large room is partitioned into distinct areas, served from a central counter. Burton Bridge Mystery Mild is effectively the house beer; guest beer can be from the Burton Bridge range or from another brewery.
Quiz night alternate Sundays. Accompanied children allowed during the day.
THE PUB IS THREATENED WITH DEMOLITION FOLLOWING PLANNING APPROVAL FOR A HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ON THE SITE. IT IS NOW UNDERSTOOD THAT IT WILL CLOSE ON SUNDAY 18TH NOVEMBER.
