Historic Interest
When it closed it was selling Joseph Holt Bitter and Morland Old Specked Hen and was one of a very small number of Bolton Pubs to have closed whilst still selling cask beer. Listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Lion Bitter and Mild (E), with TV, darts, dominoes and snacks. However in 1982 it was a Matthew Brown Keg pub along with most of their other outlets in Bolton. By 1986 it was selling Matthew Brown Mild (67p) and Bitter (70p) on electric pumps. In 1996 it was selling Holts Bitter as a guest beer
