This pub is under new management and is supporting local brewery Windsor & Eton, NOTE: the Ostrich is open for breakfast from 8am to 11am and the bar opens at 11.30am. Dating from 1106, this inn has seen its fair share of murders! One 17th century landlord used a hinged bedstead and a trap door to tip his victims into boiling liquid. This historic Grade 2* coaching inn is on the old London to Bath road. Wooden floors, old beams and open fires are mixed with modern furnishings, providing a relaxed atmosphere for drinking and dining. Local ingredients are used wherever possible and two Windsor & Eton beers are available. Sunday roasts are available noon to 8pm.
