An unpretentious and welcoming no-nonsense, back-street, two-bar pub of the best kind. No real ale is served but there is a selection of less common kegged beers and lagers. A weekly changing menu of food is provided by 'The Kitchen' Thursday to Sunday including unusual coatings and sauces for fries and sourdough sandwiches. There is TV, pool, juke box and darts in the front bar with a quiet and comfortable separate lounge. Dogs welcomed.
