Orkney Brewery Visitor Centre, Qouyloo, Orkney

The visitor centre is part of this award-winning brewery, which was established in 1988 and converted from the old school house.

The Brewery is available outwith core tour times for daytime or evening meetings, receptions, and events of all kinds, even the occasional ceilidh!

There are plenty of ways to keep kids happy, like a big box of toys for tiny toddlers, and a special dressing-up tour of the brewery and schoolhouse for slightly older kids. After putting on their Victorian school uniform, they’re given a puzzle and activity jotter and sent off to collect the stamps from stopping-off points along the tour.

Food includes Dark Island Hotpot, or a Brewhouse Burger and snacks such as Westray rollmop herring and Grimbister cheese with Dark Island Chutney.

The gift shop stocks beers and other brewery related products.

Tasting Hall will not be open till late March 2024.
