One of the best cask ale pubs in Chelmsford which has been voted the local branch Pub of the Year in 2014, 2015, 2020 and 2026. Two separate large bars, a public and saloon and also a lovely outside rear patio area. A great range of 4 to 6 changing beers are served, always something dark. Hosts regular beer festivals throughout the year.. Food is only available when Essex CCC are playing and the pub will open earlier on the Monday and Tuesday of Essex CCC matches.
