The Orange Tree is one of the best real ale pubs in Chelmsford and was voted branch Pub of the Year in 2014, 2015 and 2020. A second pub for Max and Jess, who also run the Queen's Head in Boreham. A place for conversation and meeting friends. Two separate large bars, a public and saloon and also a lovely outside rear patio area. Great range of beers are served, always something dark. Hosts regular beer festivals throughout the year.

Food is only available when Essex CCC are playing and the pub will open earlier on the Monday and Tuesday of Essex matches.
