After a period of stagnation the future of the Old White Hart looked uncertain, a buddleia bush was spouting from the roof and the fabric of the building was in need of a refurbishment. It was bought by Calico Interior Designers of nearby Lambsquay House, and after extensive refurbishment, reopened 15th December 2022.

The layout of the Old White Hart has been significantly altered, with the previous centrally located bar being removed creating a more open feel. Now bright and airy, with comfortable chairs, the pub once again has a welcoming atmosphere.

During renovation an original oven was discovered and a stone fireplace was revealed.
