Old Mill House Inn, Polperro

Welcoming inn, divided into several areas and furnished in rustic style with a long corridor to the garden by the river. Tucked away over the river from the tram stop, it is well worth seeking out. It has an extensive bar, with wooden floors throughout except for a granite floor area near the bar itself. It is furnished mainly with wooden tables and chairs, although a lounge area has comfy sofas in addition.The separate Boat House extending off the lounge has an original slate floor. Pub games available include darts, a chessboard, and children's games. Good home-cooked food (fish is a speciality) is available although times of availability may be reduced in winter. There is background music most of the time, although live bands appear during the summer months. The accommodation (7 rooms) is all en-suite.
