Coaching inn dating from the 17th century with the original oak-beamed ceiling displaying an extensive collection of old jugs. The walls are covered with pub mirrors, brewery signs and railway memorabilia, which even extend into the toilets. The cosy open-plan interior is divided into two areas with a large inglenook on the right.
Good value food includes Pie Night on Tuesdays, Curry on Wednesday evening, and Fish and Chips on Friday evening.
Quiz night is Monday and live music features on alternate Tuesdays. Local CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year 2009.
