Joules took over the pub in October 2020 after a disastrous fire. Comfortable, modernised pub with several cosy rooms. including a function room and small meeting room. A former coaching inn opposite Madeley Pool, it offers pub food and space for drinkers. There are regular live music evenings, a quiz is offered, traditional pub games re available and new dartboard has been installed. There is a pleasant beer garden, and the Newcastle to Nantwich bus (D&G 85) stops right outside.
