This Pub is Permanently Closed

A Watney roadhouse built in the 1930s in tudor style with the Savoy cinema opposite. Was selling Webster Yorkshire Bitter in 1983 although the handpumps were unused by April 1984. Demolished following a fire in c.1985. Site was occupied by homebase which has subsequently been demolished and replaced by Lidl with flats above.
