Purpose built in 1955 and named after a local regiment, a major investment in 2013 transformed the pub into a stylish horseshoe bar with many interesting artefacts on display. Food is scratch made in the visible kitchen. Two banks of five handpulls serve a range of cask-conditioned ales from both local and national microbreweries; a sixth handpull is dedicated to real cider. Quiz night on Thursday. Beer is available in thirds two thirds and pints only, no halves. Children welcome until 7pm
