This Pub is Permanently Closed
The North Kent Arms traded from 1900 to 1970, latterly as a Courage house. Sadly very little is known about this pub, despite the fact that your correspondent was present on the final night as an under-age drinker knocking out a few tunes on their battered piano!
It was known locally as the “Middle House” to distinguish it from the “Bottom House” (Coopers Arms, closed 1950) further down Craylands Lane, and the "Top House" (Rising Sun, still trading) at the other (higher) end of the lane.
If anyone has any further information, and/or a photograph they are willing to share, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please use the feedback form.
