Historic Interest

The pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Greenall Whitley light and dark Milds and Bitter (E),with TV, footy machine, snacks and live Irish music. It was included on suggested town centre pub crawl in April 1980. It was also included in the selective Greater Manchester Beer Guide in the same year. In May 1981 this was a Greenall Whitley pub selling Mild and Bitter (E). It was included on an article about Bolton town centre pubs in August 1983, but by February 1985 it was reported as closed and boarded up.
