Historic Interest
Delicensed on 17/02/09 though it closed during 2008, landlady was Rebecca Welch and owner Admiral Taverns. In December 1975 it was included on a Bass List as selling 4X Mild. The Pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Bass Charrington Bitter and Mild (E), Juke Box, darts, dominoes. By May 1979 it was reported that the 4X Mild was now Keg and so was the Bitter. Nothing had changed by May 1981 and it was a Bass Keg Pub even though there were five handpumps on the bar which in itself was very unusual in Bass pubs locally. However a new landlord moved in around September 1980 and he was going to have the handpumps overhauled and start selling three cask beers. sadly this never happened. The pub was put up for sale in June 1995.
