This social club has permanently closed!

The last entry on their Facebook page was published on the 6th August 2019 the day after an Emergency General Meeting on the future of the club called on Mon 5 August 2019. This announcement states that with over 75% of members present agreed, that the Nant-y-Cafan Social Club would close on Sunday 18 August 2019.

The site was visited on 16 July 2023, the building, which is located behind some houses on a set of playing fields, had new cladding installed on the walls and with a big sign marking it as the Ynysdawley Playing Fields Association Community Hall. However the internet also shows the The Hive And Busy Bees Play Café Ltd as being on the site, which according to the Government Companies House website has been trading there since 1st Feb 2023.

Note to CAMRA HQ, planning permission is NOT required in Wales to convert a Pub into a Café/Restaurant (or vice-versa) as both groups are in business use class "A3" in Wales. https://www.gov.wales/planning-permission-use-classes-change-use
