The Miners Rest has three drinking areas, a small lounge to the left as you walk into the pub, the main room, and a conservatory extension to the right. The small bar efficiently serves all areas. The conservatory and beer garden overlook a bowling green (which is in separate ownership), making this a nice pub for warm summer evenings and cold winter nights. Two of the handpumps are occupied by brewery-conditioned beers, albeit clearly labelled as such.
