Built about 1839 using timber from the old windmill. An Anchor Brewery Pub transferred to Birkenhead Brewery in 1866 by which time is was known as Hale's Beer House but later known again as the Mill. Probably ceased to be a pub before just after the first world war and became a grocers shop and finally around 1977 became a private residence.
