Micropub with a seated outdoor area
Micropub established in 2018. The interior has modern decor, a relaxed atmosphere and a growing clientele of locals and passing trade. The owners have established a reputation for well conditioned ales from top UK micro-breweries and also now from their own brewery based in the village centre. The casks are stillaged within temperature-controlled cabinets behind the servery, and there is also a range of 'craft' kegs and cans. Food includes home-made sandwiches and locally sourced pies, plus cakes and coffee. An outside seating area with heaters and a retractable roof is a popular addition. The nearest bus stops are at Co-operation Street in the village centre (about 10 minutes walk).
Historic Interest
The pub is in a conservation area and used to be a corner shop dating back to 1900, pictures of which can be see in the pub.
