A popular single-room town-centre bar with a large CAMRA award-winning beer garden, which is popular on sunny days. The bar hosts local dominoes competitions and shows live sports on TV. Dogs are welcome in the garden only. A former CAMRA Regional Pub of the Year. A long-standing stalwart of the local real ale scene. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Closed August 2024. Reopened with new tenant May 2025 with two ales from the Greene King list.
