This Pub is Permanently Closed

A former Matthew Brown pub that sat on the corner of Pedder Street and Ashton Street. It was an early convert to real ale when most Matthew Brown pubs were selling tank or keg beer. The pub won the branch's George Lee Memorial Trophy (Pub of the Year) in 1985 but closed in 2002.
