Old and old-fashioned former Hunt Edmunds (a Banbury brewery until 1965) two room pub, selling only one or sometimes two beers and relying solely on wet sales. Named after the Mason family who owned much of the surrounding countryside. Dates from the 17th century and is locally held to have been the parish workhouse between the 1770s and 1820s. Horse racing is the popular sport on television.
