A fine stone-built, low-beamed building, with several small rooms and a pleasant garden. The building apparently dates from 1610 but that might just be the fire-back as the Grade II listing says it's early 18th century. In 1793 it became a pub called the Mason's Arms. It was extended into a derelict cottage in the 1970s and became the Clanfield Tavern in the 1990s. Summer 2024 bought from Marston's by hospitality outfit Country Creatures who also run the Double Red Duke across the road.
