This Wetherspoon pub was formerly a traditional high street pub. Following a major refurbishment, it is now much more modern in style. It has a large single bar with several TVs for news and sport, with an adjoining airy extension looking over the furnished patio area. Many interesting pictures of old Gorseinon adorn the walls, depicting the town and its inhabitants in years gone by.
At the right hand end of the long bar is an alcove, where customers may place requests for future cask ales and the forthcoming next beers are listed.
The former Mardy Hotel has been a local landmark for more than a century, built in 1900–1 for the fast-developing town.
