Formerly the Ben Bhraggie Hotel and now part of the growing MacGregor's chain, the hotel states that it is at the exact mid-point of the North Coast 500, and therefore offers "the ideal stopping point for the weary traveller". Situated in the beautiful village of Golspie, and only a stones throw from both the beach and Dunrobin Castle, this family-owned hotel has just been renovated to provide comfortable accommodation.
The Ben Bhraggie dates back to 1829, and was constructed as the Aberdeen Town and County Bank. As a half-way house between Inverness and Wick, the “Ben” has been an ideal stop off point for travellers over the years and we hope that travelling musicians will be tempted in for some of the famous “MacGregor bar” music sessions.
More updates, in particular on the ale offering, as and when we can dispatch an envoy to sample its pleasures.
