Canal-side country pub.
Canal-side pub with a large car park. A traditional cosy bar, with a real fire, leads off the central passageway with a lounge to the rear. In the summer the lock-side beer garden is popular with visitors and meals can be eaten outside. 'Gongoozling' the boats as they pass through the lock is a popular past-time on sunny days.
The entrance has a low step at the threshold (2"). No adapted WCs.
Update: from 26/11/24 the car park is controlled by ANPR cameras but is free for pub customers.
Two LocAles are offered, one of which is always a Mild, the other is usually selected based on customer suggestions/requests.
Sunday roasts are now being served.
