Hotel & Restaurant.

Established in the 17th Century as a coaching inn and ferry stop for the Ballachulish Ferry when this was merely a small row boat, with the last ferry able to take vehicles becoming redundant when the new bridge opened in December 1975.

The bar itself is a popular and lively "local". Outside a pleasant decked area offers stunning views of the fast flowing loch narrows below. Two hand pumps dispense varying brews from the nearby River Leven brewery, and also bottles of the River Leven and Atlas / Orkney ales available.

Excellent food, based mainly on local produce, is served in the bar and the slightly more formal restaurant.

Close to the junction of the A82 and A828, the Hotel is a good base for exploring Glencoe to the East, Fort William and Lochaber to the North and South towards Appin and Oban.
