Reputedly haunted, this is a former Victorian hotel, and there are pictures of its past incarnation in the raised lounge, which is the oldest part of the pub.
Historic Interest
A mid-19th century building, possibly earlier, formerly the White Lion Hotel. Once a Hardy & Hanson's house, the landlord was James Wilkinson in 1876 (Post Office Directory). Prior to becoming the Lion Revived, the pub was known for a period as the Robinson's Hill for its location. In 1915, the landlady and two customers were fined after plain clothes police officers found them breaking WWI licensing laws (Nottingham Post).
The Lion Revived has an entry on Nottingham Civic Society's Draft Local Heritage List (09 December 2013).
As at November 2017, the freehold (NT442800) for the Lion Revived was held by Hawthorn Leisure Limited (Reg. No. 8791672).
