This Pub is Permanently Closed

A Friary Meux pub, it was known locally as "the Hotel" although it had not been so for many years. It was built in 1895, when its owner was a certain E Osbourne, and for some time there was a skittle alley at the rear. A large pub, it was set back from the main road. It closed around June 1988. The site is now the entrance to a modern housing development (Jenny Lane).
