Cafe by day, nightclub Fri & Sat evenings.

Originally opened as the Maid of Sussex - then a good real ale pub - but in about 2008 it was transformed into Life Bar 1 (LB1), not so much a pub as a night spot; it no longer sells real ale.

The venue doubles as a cafe during the day (9am-4pm weekdays, 9am-3pm weekends) but runs as a late bar/nightclub on Fridays & Saturdays from 8pm with free entrance before 9pm
