Historic Interest

In May 1981 this was a Whitbread keg pub, by July 1982 it had handpumped Bulmers Traditional Cider on the bar, but the beers were still all Keg. By June 1985 it was selling Trophy Bitter (H) as well as the Bulmers Cider. It was not listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide so must not have been selling Cask Beer at that time. A photo and pub details were included in Bolton Pub Scene 2 in 1995. It subsequently became a restaurant called Blue Ginger before it closed and was converted into a residential property which has been extensively modernised and currently on the market for £725,000
