This Pub is Permanently Closed
The King's Head closed in 1991 and was converted by Ronald Roestenburg into Uncle Buck's Fun Pub. This lasted barely 6 months, closing in mid 1992. By 1994 the premises were Al Sheik's Balti restaurant and are now Abdul's Asian Cuisine. The external woodwork includes a number of William Butler's Eagle & Hop trade mark roundels. The licensee Arthur Candin moved to the Doxey Arms.
Historic Interest
Built in 1810 and had its own brewhouse. The external woodwork still includes a number of William Butler's Eagle & Hop trade mark roundels.
