This traditional dales hostelry is smartly decorated inside and out. The pub is traditionally decorated. The bar area boasts stone flags and a huge fireplace with inglenook seating, though the traditional open fire was replaced with a modern enclosed stove in 2022. The emphasis is mainly on food, including breakfast served 8am to 10am before the pub opens for beer, but drinkers are made very welcome. Accommodation is four renovated and individually styled rooms.
