Historic Interest

The Pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Tetley Bitter and Mild (E), with Juke box, darts, snacks, 2 pool tables. Opposite (Burnden Park) football ground. Nice set of handpumps wasting away. In May 1981 this was a Tetley Keg pub and this continued until August 1985 when it was listed as selling Jennings Bitter, it was still available in February 1986. It was not listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as it only sold keg beer. Bolton Wanderers moved to their new ground in 1997 and by 1999 the pub had been closed and sold and in January 2000 was business premises.
